Edward the Emu by Sheena Knowles

A favorite story of Mrs. Shaw:

Have you ever heard the expression, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence?" Well, in this book, Edward puts that to the test.  Edward the Emu is one of my very favorite books because I remember the feeling that it gave me the very first time it was read to me.  I loved every page and I couldn't wait to see what Edward wanted to be next.  I especially love the illustrations and the expressions that Edward makes.  Oh, and I love what Edward learns at the end.
