Mrs. Walker chose this wonderful story by Jan Brett as one of her favorite read-alouds. Perhaps it's because she knows the wisdom of the adage, "Don't go poking your nose where it doesn't belong." That's just what Hedgie the hedgehog learns in this story. You see, Hedgie finds himself in a pickle, thanks to his curious nature. All the farm animals chuckle at silly Hedgie, but in the end, Hedgie gets the last laugh.
